The name of our Group gives an immediate clue to how committed we are to promoting the central role of hydrogen in the development and penetration of renewable sources.
Green hydrogen is obtained by using the energy generated from inexhaustible sources such as the sun and wind, and may thus be considered to all intents and purposes a bridge to the world of renewables. Hydrogen is not in itself a source of energy but it can be stored in very large quantities by bringing its density to a level that is currently unparalleled in nature.
In Hope’s vision, large utility-scale plants will be combined with hydrogen-producing centres designed with modular logic for a whole variety of uses: fuelling heavy transport (rail, BRT, maritime, aeronautical), input into gas pipelines, safe gas transmission in combination with methane, powering fuel cells, and the production of ammonia or methanol.
